\n\tMissouri State women’s tennis (4-16) is set to compete in the 2026 Conference USA Women’s Tennis Championship. The Bears received the No. 11 seed and are set to face No. 6 Liberty in the opening round on Wednesday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Murfreesboro, Tenn.\u00a0hosted by Middle Tennessee.
\n\tIf the Bears win in the opening round, they would square off with No. 3 seed Kennesaw State in the quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.

\n\tOn Sunday,\u00a0April\u00a012, the Bears\u00a0fell to CUSA\u00a0opponent New Mexico State\u00a0with a 5-2 scoreline. The Bears raced out of the gates,\u00a0taking the hard-fought doubles point for a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Lucy Latham<\/a> and freshman Matilde Ercoli<\/a> won a stellar 6-4 match-up at the first position. Then seniors\u00a0Billur Gonlusen<\/a>\u00a0and Raluca Puscas<\/a> teamed up to capture a 6-3 win on count No. 2. However, the Bears were not able to continue the momentum into singles play. Puscas was the only Bear to capture a singles victory over Anna Klimova with a dominant 6-4, 6-2 win on court No. 4. \u00a0|\u00a0Recap<\/a>

\n\tThis will be the\u00a0first-ever\u00a0match between the Bears and the Flames.
\n\tThe victor of this match-up will face No. 3 Kennesaw State (11-6) on Thursday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.
