\nCalgary Stampeders<\/p>\n

The Calgary Stampeders released wide receiver Melquan Stovall on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

Melquan Stovall<\/a> is five foot nine and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Lancaster, California, attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp in 2025. The Calgary Stampeders signed Stovall on October 25, 2025.<\/p>\n

Collegiately, Stovall spent three seasons at Nevada<\/a> (2019-21) with 108 catches for 1,064 yards, one touchdown, three carries for -1 yard, four kick returns for 81 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 30 games for the Wolf Pack.<\/p>\n

In the 2019 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Stovall tied his career-high with seven catches for 84 yards. He finished the season with 19 catches for 171 yards and four kick returns for 81 yards in nine games. He earned Academic All-MW honors.<\/p>\n

Next, he transferred to Colorado State<\/a> in 2022 with 13 catches for 106 yards and four punt returns for 10 yards in three games for the Rams.<\/p>\n

Then, he transferred to Arizona State<\/a> (2023-24) with 42 catches for 494 yards, six carries for 34 yards, one rushing touchdown, seven kick returns for 115 yards, 17 punt returns for 188 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 26 games for the Sun Devils.
