\n\tBradley Cooper<\/a> has officially lined up his next directing gig, taking the helm of the upcoming Ocean\u2019s prequel<\/a>, which he will also star in alongside Margot Robbie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news had long been in the ether, and during Warner Bros.\u2019 CinemaCon<\/a> presentation on Tuesday, studio heads Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy confirmed the news. The film does not yet have a title, but has been dated for June 25, 2027. Cooper \u2014 who most recently directed Is This Thing On? \u2014 will also produce alongside Robbie\u2019s LuckyChap banner.<\/p>\n

\n\tRobbie also made a virtual appearance earlier in the presentation, telling the Las Vegas room, \u201cBefore Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows: his parents. You\u2019ll see them in all their prime in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros. released a slew of release dates as well, including: horror sequel The Revenge of La Llorona (April 9, 2027); Evil Dead Wrath (April 7, 2028); Final Destination 7 (May 12, 2028); Zach Cregger\u2019s The Flood (Aug. 11, 2028); Weapons prequel Gladys (Sept. 8, 2028) and an untitled Baz Luhrmann film (Nov. 22, 2028).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe studio also revealed that a Game of Thrones prequel movie is going forward. THR previously broke the news that Warner Bros. Discovery was developing both a TV show and a movie based on Aegon\u2019s Conquest, and it seems the latter has won out, with the feature Aegon\u2019s Conquest teased during the panel.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs far as the Ocean\u2019s movie, Lee Isaac Chung\u00a0had previously been attached, but departed last month<\/a> due to creative differences. A joint statement from Warner Bros. and LuckyChap released at the time read, \u201cLee Isaac is a singular filmmaking talent whose vision and partnership have been invaluable to Warner Bros. and LuckyChap throughout this journey.\u00a0Our experience with him has only deepened our enthusiasm to collaborate on future projects together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros. launched the Oceans franchise in 2001 with Steven Soderbergh\u2019s\u00a0Ocean\u2019s Eleven\u00a0that remade the studio\u2019s 1960 heist movie\u00a0Ocean\u2019s 11, starring Frank Sinatra and other Rat Pack members. George Clooney (who plays Danny Ocean), Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon were among the stars of Soderbergh\u2019s film trilogy that concluded with 2007\u2019s\u00a0Ocean\u2019s Thirteen.<\/p>\n
