The company works \u200bwith clients \u200bto develop custom processors and supplies infrastructure \u200bsoftware.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Its shares were up 3.5% \u200cin extended trading, while those of Meta were little changed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The tie-up helps &#8220;build out the massive computing foundation we need to deliver personal superintelligence to billions of people,&#8221; Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The company, which last month unveiled a roadmap of four new chips, said the initial capacity commitment with Broadcom was &#8220;the first phase \u200cof a sustained, multi-gigawatt rollout.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Broadcom&#8217;s Ethernet networking technology \u200bwill also be used to connect Meta&#8217;s rapidly \u200bgrowing clusters of AI computers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The \u200bfirst chip from Meta Training and Inference Accelerator (MTIA) program, called \u200cthe MTIA 300, already powers Meta&#8217;s ranking \u200band recommendation systems, \u200bwith three more due through 2027.
