GAINESVILLE, Fla.\u00a0\u2013 The Florida Men’s Tennis team travels to Texas A&M for the SEC Tournament. After earning the ninth seed in the tournament, the Gators have a first round bye and will then play on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. EST against eighth seeded Auburn.<\/p>\n
In the regular season, the Gators opened up SEC play against Auburn on the road, but took a 6-1 loss from the Tigers. Since then, both Florida and Auburn hold the same conference record of 6-8, with the Tigers just edging the No. 19 Gators out in rankings to make them the higher seed in the tournament<\/p>\n
Four players enter the tournament ranked in singles with Pablo Perez Ramos<\/a> at No. 62, Henry Jefferson<\/a> at No. 63, Adhithya Ganesan<\/a> at No. 95 and Jeremy Jin<\/a> at No. 102. \nThe Gators split the road weekend against No. 1 Texas and No. 36 Arkansas, resulting in a conference record of 6-8. Jefferson and Nirundorn defeated the No. 31 team of Ben Weintraub<\/a> and Eric Padgham of Arkansas and five players all earned a win in singles over the weekend.<\/p>\n
