{"id":606094,"date":"2026-04-15T17:01:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606094\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T17:01:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:01:08","slug":"calgary-flames-fan-brought-to-tears-after-dustin-wolf-gifts-goalie-stick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606094\/","title":{"rendered":"Calgary Flames fan brought to tears after Dustin Wolf gifts goalie stick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A young Calgary Flames fan was brought to tears at Tuesday\u2019s match-up against the Avalanche after a heartfelt gesture from goaltender Dustin Wolf. <\/p>\n<p>During warmups, Wolf spotted 10-year-old Kade Heisler in the stands at the Scotiabank Saddledome holding a sign that read \u201cWolf you are my hero.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later, during a T.V. intermission, the Flames\u2019 goaltender passed his stick through the crowd to the young Carstairs Bruins netminder. <\/p>\n<p>A video shown during the broadcast of the game captured Heisler in tears, hugging the stick. <\/p>\n<p>The clip is now making the rounds on social media, with many offering praise to Wolf for his off-ice effort. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is what it&#8217;s all about ????<\/p>\n<p>Wolfie spotted this young member of the C of Red and made sure one of his sticks made its way over \u2764\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mOf2FjFmZf\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/mOf2FjFmZf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Calgary Flames (@NHLFlames) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NHLFlames\/status\/2044241174840652040?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">April 15, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sportsnet\u2019s Eric Francis went down to meet the fan, who he said was overcome with emotion. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went down and I said \u2018We just showed you on T.V\u2026\u2019 and he started crying again. So that set me off, I could hardly finish the interview,\u201d the broadcaster said. \u201cBut I said, \u2018What are you thinking about when he hands you that stick?\u2019 And this little boy, 10-years-of-age, said \u2018I\u2019m just very thankful.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought he said it beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In post-game interviews, Wolf said he had yet to see the now viral video, but was happy he was able to make Heisler\u2019s day. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what the game is all about, for the kids,\u201d he told reporters. \u201cWe mean a lot to them and it\u2019s neat to be able to make a kid\u2019s day like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Flames fell to Colorado 3-1 in Calgary\u2019s second-last game of the season.
