{"id":606190,"date":"2026-04-15T17:57:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606190\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T17:57:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T17:57:13","slug":"driver-dead-passenger-critically-injured-in-brampton-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606190\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver dead, passenger critically injured in Brampton crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman who was a passenger in an SUV is fighting for her life after a crash in Brampton yesterday (April 14).<\/p>\n<p>The crash, which took place in the southbound lanes of Airport Road, north of Williams Parkway, just after 3 p.m., claimed the life of the male driver.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, emergency crews had to extract the two people from the SUV, which struck the back of a transport truck.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was airlifted to a trauma centre, where she is listed in life-threatening condition. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.<\/p>\n<p>They were the only two occupants of the SUV. The driver of the truck was not injured and remained at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Peel Regional Police say that speed may have been a factor.
