Gallagher later suggested that he\u2019d manifested Oasis\u2018 induction this year by bringing some \u201creverse psychology vibes\u201d<\/a>, having spoken out against the Rock Hall in the past<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanna thank all the people who voted for us it\u2019s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower,\u201d the frontman wrote on X\/Twitter yesterday (Tuesday April 14).<\/p>\n

He also confirmed that he and Noel<\/a>\u00a0would be \u201cboth going\u201d to the ceremony, writing: \u201cWe\u2019re soooooo proud and humble.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate tweet, LG responded to a fan who asked: \u201cWhat happened to not wanting to be in [the Hall Of Fame]?\u201d He replied by jokingly revealing that his mum, Peggy, 83, had persuaded him to embrace the induction.<\/p>\n

Liam and Noel\u2019s mother went to see Oasis in Dublin as part of their huge Live \u201925 reunion tour<\/a> last summer. LG dedicated \u2018Stand By Me\u2019 to Peggy<\/a>, after Noel previously said she \u201ccouldn\u2019t give a shit\u201d about the band\u2019s comeback<\/a>: \u201cWhen we told her we were getting back together, she said, \u2018Sure, that will be nice\u2019. That was it.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Peggy has claimed that she was in fact the \u201cinstigator\u201d of Oasis\u2019 long-awaited live return<\/a>. \u201cBut sure, wasn\u2019t it always going to happen at some time or other?\u201d she said. \u201cIt was their choice, of course. Look, you can\u2019t force them to do things they don\u2019t want to do\u201d.<\/p>\n

She confessed at the time that she was relieved to see her sons working together again, following a years-long feud between the pair. \u201cIt\u2019s great, because nobody wants their kids falling out, do they?\u201d she went on, although she admitted to being nervous about the shows: \u201cI\u2019ll be glad when it\u2019s all just over because it makes me get too stressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

A record-breaking six British acts are being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame this year<\/a>, also including\u00a0Joy Division<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0New Order<\/a> (listed as a single nominee),\u00a0Billy Idol<\/a>,\u00a0Phil Collins<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sade<\/a>. They appear in the \u2018Performer\u2019 category alongside Luther Vandross,\u00a0Wu-Tang Clan<\/a>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

In another tweet yesterday, LG said he was \u201cabsolutely thrilled to bits\u201d and joked that Oasis \u201chad to pay them to induct us\u201d. Elsewhere, a fan said that Gallagher was \u201cnot too good for [the Rock Hall] after all.\u201d He replied: \u201cNope.\u201d<\/p>\n

When reacting to Oasis\u2019 2024 Rock Hall nomination<\/a>, Liam wrote: \u201cFuck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS.\u201d He also discouraged fans from voting for them at the time, calling the event \u201ca load of bollox\u201d.<\/p>\n

Gallagher reiterated his sentiments last year<\/a>, saying the Hall Of Fame was \u201cfor WANKERS\u201d. The singer replied to one fan who asked what would happen if they ever got in, saying: \u201cObv go and say it\u2019s the best thing EVER.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2017,\u00a0Noel\u00a0was asked by\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a> if Oasis deserved to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. \u201cI certainly think I do,\u201d he replied. \u201cI know what it is. I know what it entails and it won\u2019t be happening, OK. They showed me all these exhibits of Oasis stuff. It\u2019s a great place, but I won\u2019t be doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0Peter Hook has confirmed that he\u2019ll be in attendance at the ceremony<\/a>\u00a0when Joy Division and New Order are inducted as a joint act. He dedicated the honour to the late\u00a0Ian Curtis<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame\u2019s 2026 induction ceremony is due to take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday November 14. A recording will then air in December on ABC and Disney+.<\/p>\n

Artists become eligible for inclusion in the Rock Hall 25 years after their first commercial release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In other news, Peaky Blinders<\/a> creator Steven Knight has shared more details about his upcoming Live \u201925 Oasis documentary<\/a>, which is said to include\u00a0\u201cphenomenal\u201d footage of Liam and Noel\u2019s first meeting before the shows began<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year,\u00a0Noel Gallagher revealed that he was back in the recording studio<\/a>. However, it is currently not known whether this was for new Oasis music or something else.\u00a0The musician had said previously that he was \u201cback at work\u201d<\/a>\u00a0following his Christmas break.<\/p>\n

Noel said last month that Liam was on \u201cspectacular form\u201d when the brothers watched Manchester City win the Carabao Cup together<\/a> at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium.<\/p>\n

In February, Noel was awarded the Songwriter Of The Year statue at the BRITs 2026<\/a>. He thanked his brother and bandmates past and present during his acceptance speech. \u201cWithout them, I\u2019d just be a singer-songwriter, and no-one gives a shit about singer-songwriters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
