CITYNEWS\/Hugues Cormier <\/p>\n<p>A man has died and a woman has been critically injured after an SUV collided with a transport truck in Brampton Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Peel police were called to Williams Parkway and Airport Road around 3:15 p.m. for reports of a crash. <\/p>\n<p>The driver of the SUV, an adult male, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n<p>The passenger, a female adult, was taken to a trauma centre by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries where she remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Sgt. Mandeep Khatra said the cause of the crash is still under investigation but based on witness accounts from people in the area, speed may have been a factor in the collision.<\/p>\n<p>The intersection is closed as police investigate.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two people have been seriously injured after a crash involving an SUV and a tractor trailer.
