Marc Maron<\/a> had about the most intense induction into the Swiftie Hall of Fame as a person can get. As described in his latest special, Panicked, Maron fell hard for Taylor Swift. Literally, he passed out while listening to Midnights<\/a>. Maron was on a hike, mourning the death of his partner Lynne Shelton<\/a> and also wondering why people like Taylor Swift. \u201cThe interesting thing about grief is that when you\u2019re in it at the beginning, it\u2019s all-consuming. It takes over your mind, your heart, your spirit and you can\u2019t stop it, and you don\u2019t know if it\u2019ll ever go away,\u201d he says. In that state, Swift\u2019s \u201cBigger Than the Whole Sky\u201d is going to have an affect. Maron listened to the song on repeat, sobbing. And because he was on a hike, also stretching. Maron blacked out in the middle of a squat stretch. He came back to Swift singing \u201cGoodbye, goodbye, goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maron used the song in his special, which he revealed on Good One<\/a> cost him 50 large. Now he\u2019s also doing a cover. Maron posted his version of \u201cBigger Than the Whole Sky\u201d on social media, noting that it\u2019s a lot let polished than the Jack Antonoff-produced version. \u201cWe did it like Mazzy Star-ish. It broke me,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI got choked up in the middle of the last verse. It was pretty raw, very emotional but I felt good about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
