{"id":606999,"date":"2026-04-16T02:06:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T02:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606999\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T02:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T02:06:08","slug":"man-in-20s-charged-in-fatal-assault-in-se-calgary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/606999\/","title":{"rendered":"Man in 20s charged in fatal assault in SE Calgary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man in his 20s has been charged after a <a href=\"https:\/\/calgary.citynews.ca\/2026\/03\/29\/man-in-20s-dead-after-se-calgary-assault-police-seek-suspects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">violent altercation in a southeast Calgary home<\/a> left another man dead late last month.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called around 9 p.m. on March 25, to a home on Crestwood Road SE in the community of Ogden for reports of a fight. <\/p>\n<p>Officers arrived to find a man in his 20s suffering from life\u2011threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say the suspects fled before police arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation led to officers executing a search warrant at a home on Citadel Estates Terrace NW.<\/p>\n<p>Wedial Buom Met, 22, has now been charged with one count of second\u2011degree murder.
