Raleigh, N.C. — The University of Lynchburg women’s tennis team traveled south for its final nonconference competition of the season and bageled Meredith, 7-0, on Wenesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The match opened with a dominant performance in doubles play, as Lynchburg swept all three positions. Isadora Lima<\/a> and Ashley Hair<\/a> secured a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Giovana Gaboardi<\/a> and Maggie Wonderling<\/a> followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 2, and Gabriella Rivero<\/a> and Maddie Brunelle<\/a> completed the sweep with a 6-1 decision at No. 3.<\/p>\n Lynchburg carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Isadora Lima<\/a> led the lineup with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. Giovana Gaboardi<\/a> earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2, and Megan Tinsley<\/a> followed with a 6-0, 6-1 result at No. 3.<\/p>\n In the remaining singles matches, Harper Dodd<\/a> recorded a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4. Reese McAtee<\/a> added a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Sarah Wood<\/a> closed the match with a 6-2, 6-2 decision at No. 6.<\/p>\n With wins in all three doubles matches and all six singles contests, Lynchburg completed the sweep.
