The film was picked up by Lionsgate and released through its Grindstone label. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNo indication at this stage that Trejo or Lionsgate are back for the sequel, but casting and finance talks are underway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe sequel is said to \u201cexplore themes of resilience, mental health, and compassion through a more socially driven narrative. Counterpunch 2 deepens Orlando\u2019s emotional stakes, positioning boxing as a metaphor not only for survival, but for purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cCounterpunch 2 is about what we fight for,\u201d said Orlando. \u201cIt\u2019s about the silent battles so many<br \/>people face, and the strength it takes to keep going when no one is watching.
