Even better is that the action will come in a state-of-the-art facility.<\/p>\n<p>As fans in Calgary are well aware, construction on Scotia Place, the soon-to-be home of the Flames, is well underway. The building, which is expected to be ready for the 2027-28 NHL season, is already seeing <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/calgary\/roof-going-in-calgary-flames-new-arena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">parts of its roof being put into place<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"flames-scotia-place\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2255315\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flames-scotia-place-5.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2255315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Colton Pankiw\/Daily Hive<\/p>\n<p>While the progress being made is very impressive, fans still haven\u2019t got a full idea as to what the building will look like from the inside once completed. That is now beginning to change, as Scotia Place released renderings on Wednesday that showcase the indoor plaza, the Flames\u2019 team store, and the community arena.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlames fans, we are in for a real treat, honestly, I can\u2019t wait for the new arena to open,\u201d one user commented on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>There were plenty of others who shared the same excitement over these newly released renderings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis place looks phenomenal, and I can\u2019t wait to experience my games and concerts here,\u201d another individual quipped.<\/p>\n<p>Flames fans have already quickly learned what having a brand new facility can do, as they, along with Edmonton, will serve as two of the host cities for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey.
