{"id":607935,"date":"2026-04-16T12:17:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T12:17:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/607935\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T12:17:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T12:17:07","slug":"rain-fog-in-the-forecast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/607935\/","title":{"rendered":"Rain, fog in the forecast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter provides an update on weather conditions in Toronto and parts of the GTA. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Torontonians will wake to find more rain and fog in the forecast on Thursday with as much as 20 millimetres of rain expected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A fog advisory and special weather statement remain in effect for the city. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Environment Canada said near zero visibility can be expected in some areas, but dense fog will likely dissipate later this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The rain is expected to continue later this afternoon, the national weather agency said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cA few more rounds of showers and embedded thunderstorms are possible through the day. Portions of the region have received significant rainfall amounts over the last few days. As a result, any further rainfall could have significant impacts,\u201d the weather advisory read. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cRainfall warnings may be issued for some regions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">People are urged to avoid low-lying areas and motorists should not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto will see a high of 20 C on Thursday and a break from the rain is coming on Friday, which will see some sunshine and a high of 18 C. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter provides an update on weather conditions in Toronto and parts of the GTA.
