{"id":608297,"date":"2026-04-16T16:10:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/608297\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T16:10:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:10:08","slug":"when-is-eggslut-opening-in-toronto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/608297\/","title":{"rendered":"When is Eggslut opening in Toronto?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A trendy American breakfast sandwich chain with an eyebrow-raising name is coming to Toronto.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Eggslut, originally launched in L.A. in 2011, will be opening two locations in downtown Toronto, the first in what the brand calls a \u201cstructured Canadian expansion\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The first Canadian Eggslut location will open on King Street West at the end of April, while a second outpost is set to launch near Yonge and Dundas streets later this summer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">For those who might not know, \u201ceggslut\u201d is a colloquial term for a person who enjoys adding eggs to every meal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Aside from its cheeky name, the restaurant franchise is known for its brioche-bun breakfast sandwiches, which feature eggs made in different styles, like soft scrambled or coddled. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201dEggslut started with a simple idea: take something familiar and make it exceptional,&#8221; Eggslut Co-owner Andy Lee said in a news release. \u201cFrom a food truck in Los Angeles to a global following, we\u2019ve stayed focused on quality, consistency, and intention. Toronto is a city that truly shows up for food, and we\u2019re excited to introduce Eggslut to the market and let the food speak for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Toronto locations will source ingredients from Ontario-based suppliers, like Burnbrae Farms, which will provide the restaurants\u2019 namesake eggs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The chain also has locations in the U.K., Japan and Australia. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A trendy American breakfast sandwich chain with an eyebrow-raising name is coming to Toronto.
