The Wolverines host Purdue (5-15, 1-10 Big Ten) on Friday (April 17) at 6 p.m. before facing Indiana (10-10, 4-7 Big Ten) on Sunday (April 19) at noon on Senior Day. Admission to all matches at the Varsity Tennis Center is free.<\/p>\n<p>Notes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Michigan will honor <a href=\"https:\/\/mgoblue.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/mert-oral\/27300\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"27300\" target=\"_blank\">Mert Oral<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mgoblue.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/nicholas-steiglehner\/27301\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"27301\" target=\"_blank\">Nicholas Steiglehner<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/mgoblue.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/bjorn-swenson\/27302\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"27302\" target=\"_blank\">Bjorn Swenson<\/a> for Senior Day on Sunday, prior to the Indiana match. Fans are encouraged to come early to show their appreciation for the senior trio.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Wolverines enter the weekend on a four-match winning streak, having swept Oregon and Washington on the road before returning home to defeat No. 20 Michigan State and Toledo in a doubleheader.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Swenson delivered a three-set win over then-No. 14 Matthew Forbes at No. 2 singles to clinch the victory against Michigan State and hand the Spartans their first conference loss of the season. After dropping the first set 6-1, Swenson rallied to take the second 6-3 before closing out the match 6-3 in the third.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Michigan is 11-9 overall with a 6-5 Big Ten record, sitting seventh in the conference standings. The Wolverines moved up to No. 39 in the latest ITA computerized rankings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/mgoblue.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/max-dahlin\/27298\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"27298\" target=\"_blank\">Max Dahlin<\/a> owns the longest singles unbeaten streak in the nation, at 14 straight. He is 16-1 at No. 1 singles, unbeaten at 9-0 in the Big Ten,\u00a0and 25-3 when combining his fall and spring seasons. Dahlin moved up to No. 6 in the ITA rankings this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Swenson moved up to No. 45 in the singles rankings, the highest ranking of his season. He&#8217;s on a four-match win streak and is 9-3 at No. 2 and is 17-7 this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Michigan has two ranked doubles pairs, of which Dahlin is a member of both. He and fellow All-American Swenson are ranked No. 21 after reaching the NCAA quarterfinals in the fall. This spring, Dahlin and fellow freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/mgoblue.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/pierce-shaya\/27305\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"27305\" target=\"_blank\">Pierce Shaya<\/a> are 8-3 at No. 1 and sit at No. 52 in the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Steiglehner enters the weekend on a four-match winning streak and is four wins away from reaching 60 career victories.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Purdue is 5-15 overall and sits last in the Big Ten at 1-10. The Boilermakers feature one ranked doubles team in Aleksa Krivokapic and Maj Premzel (No. 58). Michigan has won 22 straight matches against Purdue and leads the all-time series 81-10.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Indiana enters the week 10-10 overall and ninth in the Big Ten at 4-7. The Hoosiers have four ranked doubles teams: Matteo Antonescu\/Michael Andrea (No. 39), Jip Van Assendelft\/Sam Landau (No. 44), Sam Landau\/Braeden Gelletich (No. 54), and Facundo Yunis\/Sam Landau (No. 82).
