I\u2019ll be dealing with that one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That distinction matters.<\/p>\n<p>The contact wasn\u2019t just another <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nascar\/bristol-tv-ratings-drop-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bristol<\/a> bump \u2014 it directly led to a caution in the closing laps, forcing overtime and altering the outcome of the race.<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR ultimately chose not to penalize Busch, but Moran\u2019s comments signal the incident crossed into territory that warranted further review and follow-up.<\/p>\n<p>At a track like Bristol, that line between hard racing and going too far is razor thin.<\/p>\n<p>This time, <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nascar\/nascar-cup-series-rd-check-bristol-motor-speedway-chaos-clean-results\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NASCAR is letting the result stand<\/a> \u2014 but making sure the message is still delivered.<\/p>\n<p>Corey Heim\u2013Christian Eckes Incident Reviewed With No Penalties<\/p>\n<p>Another flashpoint came in the closing laps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nascar.com\/news-media\/2026\/04\/14\/hauler-talk-nascar-will-talk-to-christian-eckes-after-thorough-review-of-possible-penalty-for-corey-heim-crash-at-bristol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">involving Corey Heim and Christian Eckes<\/a>, a moment that cost Heim a shot at a major win and quickly became a talking point coming out of <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nascar\/ty-gibbs-youngest-cup-series-winners\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moran said NASCAR conducted a full review of that incident as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was reviewed with our competition department \u2026 We listened to communications and so on from the teams. Obviously both drivers had comments after the race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moran also reiterated that only conversations would be had following the melee. \u201cThere are no penalties going out.
