{"id":608908,"date":"2026-04-16T22:24:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T22:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/608908\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T22:24:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T22:24:08","slug":"new-driver-clocked-at-136-km-h-in-nw-calgary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/608908\/","title":{"rendered":"New driver clocked at 136 km\/h in NW Calgary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new driver was caught going more than 50 km\/h over the speed limit in northwest Calgary this week.<\/p>\n<p>Calgary police say officers stopped a vehicle on Tuesday  travelling 136 km\/h in an 80 km\/h zone of southbound Crowchild Trail near Sarcee Trail NW.<\/p>\n<p>The driver, who had only held a licence for six months and had three passengers in the car, told officers it was her first ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Police issued a mandatory court summons due to the excessive speed.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u26a0\ufe0f On Tuesday, April 14, we pulled over a driver going 136km\/h in an 80 km\/hr zone on southbound Crowchild Trail. The driver, who had 3 passengers, said she&#8217;d only had her licence for 6 months &amp; this was her first ticket. <\/p>\n<p>????
