Comedian and actor Zach Galifianakis recently revealed on a very public stage that he lives on a remote island in B.C., and that he loves Canada.<\/p>\n
Galifianakis was recently a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the two funny men discussed\u00a0The Hangover star\u2019s home, as well as his love for the country and province.<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t the first time Galifianakis has spoken about the fact that he lives in B.C. He recently shared some minor details about it when he was in town for Just For Laughs\u2019 10th Vancouver anniversary, when he shared a stage with Late Show icon David Letterman.<\/p>\n
Galifianakis, who is married to a Canadian woman, never directly revealed where exactly in B.C. he lives. Still, people took to the comments of the Jimmy Kimmel Live Facebook post with a general consensus about his home island.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou like people so much you moved to an almost unpopulated island,\u201d Kimmel said, adding that it\u2019s off the coast of British Columbia.<\/p>\n
\u201cEpstein Island?\u201d Kimmel joked.<\/p>\n
Kimmel asked Galifianakis, \u201cHow many people are on your island?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cUhh, I don\u2019t know. Like, I don\u2019t know. Like six?\u201d<\/p>\n
He changed his answer to around 1,000 people, saying that he generally only sees the same 50 people.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love Canada, it\u2019s a great country,\u201d Galifianakis said, and Kimmel agreed.<\/p>\n
\u201cBritish Columbia is very, very beautiful,\u201d Galifianakis added.<\/p>\n
Kimmel wondered about the pros and cons of just seeing the same 50 people all the time. In response, Galifianakis shared a story about when he was on the ocean recently.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was this couple far away with their child. Then they approached me closer, and this kid was like four or five, and the mother goes, \u2018What are you doing?!’\u201d<\/p>\n
He responded that he was just getting something for his garden.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe mother looks at me and goes, \u2018You have an uncanny resemblance to the fat guy from\u00a0The Hangover.’\u201d<\/p>\n
He told Kimmel he responded and said he gets that all the time. The woman replied, \u201cI don\u2019t like his stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kimmel responded, \u201cWow, was she a local?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was my wife,\u201d Galifianakis joked.<\/p>\n
