She asked the judge to declare her indigent.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Her attorney also leaned heavily on her personal struggles &#8212; citing ongoing medical issues, hearing loss, and even a scheduled skin cancer test &#8212; arguing that sitting in jail could seriously jeopardize her health.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors, however, focused on the alleged violence &#8230; claiming Kate struck Michael and threw a serrated knife at him &#8212; and pointing to a prior case between the ex-couple.<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"js-click-image js-track-link image-lightbox-preview\" data-node-ref=\"tmz:image-asset:image_jpg_20260415_fbb36302634d4582b51ec4cfb40cbc72\" data-container-ref=\"tmz:article:20e506b3-6827-4098-a0ea-7d9d88aeb87c\" data-context=\"{&quot;section&quot;:&quot;permalink&quot;,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;image&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p>                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/fbb36302634d4582b51ec4cfb40cbc72_md.jpg\" alt=\"michael-lohan-kate-major-sub-getty-2\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The judge ultimately set Kate&#8217;s bond at $35K and imposed strict release conditions, including no contact with Michael, no alcohol or drugs, and no weapons.<\/p>\n<p>As we reported, Kate was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/04\/15\/lindsay-lohans-stepmom-arrested-for-assault-on-family-member\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arrested<\/a> in Texas on Wednesday after allegedly attacking Michael during a custody exchange &#8230; with cops saying she caused injuries.
