WILMINGTON, N.C. (theACC.com) \u2013 Led by Paula Mart\u00edn Sampedro\u2019s 11-under, Stanford took a commanding 10-shot lead following the first two rounds of the 2026 ACC Women\u2019s Golf Championship Thursday at Porters Neck Country Club.<\/p>\n
Mart\u00edn Sampedro tied the tournament record for the lowest score in the ACC Championship with a first-round 64 (-8) to pace the field. The junior ended the day with a 69 (-3) to take the lead in the individual standings. The Cardinal placed three players in the top 15 through two rounds, as Kelly Xu is fourth at 6-under, while Andrea Revuelta is tied for 12th at 2-under.<\/p>\n
Duke\u2019s Rianne Malixi and Wake Forest\u2019s Chloe Kovelesky, stand second and third, respectively, as Malixi is at 9-under while Kovelesky is a shot back at 8-under. Notre Dame\u2019s Bridget Wilkie rounded out the top five at 5-under.<\/p>\n
In the team standings, SMU and Duke are tied for second at 12-under, followed by NC State in fourth at 9-under, while Wake Forest rounds out the top five at 4-under. Clemson clings to the elusive sixth position at 1-under with North Carolina a shot back in seventh place.<\/p>\n
The action from Porters Neck continues Friday with the final round of stroke play beginning at 8 a.m. ET. The top six teams from stroke play advance to Saturday\u2019s match play with the top two teams earning byes into the semifinals. The match play final is set for Sunday at 9 a.m. ET.
