Jenelle Evans is offering an update on her son, Jace, who checked into a mental health facility last month<\/a> after he pulled a gun on his grandmother.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people think that because I\u2019m being so quiet that I might now be doing anything and not taking action,\u201d she said on the \u201cLa Femme Talk\u201d podcast<\/a>, \u201cbut just know that if I\u2019m quiet, I\u2019m up to something.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, telling host Dr. Rachel Mason, \u201cI\u2019ll let you know something that I haven\u2019t told anyone. I\u2019ve been very quiet online but behind the scenes I\u2019ve been actually getting help for my son and he\u2019s in a safe place [with] a holistical[sic] approach and he\u2019s very happy right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evans added, \u201cHe\u2019s very focused on himself and I think that\u2019s the most important thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cTeen Mom\u201d star had been quiet when the news broke about her son, surprising fans and drawing criticism.<\/p>\n

She addressed the issue in a TikTok on March 28<\/a>, saying, \u201cBehind the scenes, I’m doing everything I can for my child, and I’m doing what’s in the best interest for him and that’s none of your business to know.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February, Jace allegedly threatened to kill himself and his grandmother, Barbara Evans, and put a gun to his own head. Officers responded to a \u201ctroubled teen disturbance\u201d after Barbara called 911 from her home in North Carolina.<\/p>\n

Evans currently lives in Las Vegas, according to her rep, and is a full-time mom to her children Kaiser, 11, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith and Ensley, 9, from her ex-husband David Eason.<\/p>\n

Jace is her oldest from her relationship with high school boyfriend Andrew Lewis.<\/p>\n

A representative confirmed to Entertainment Weekly<\/a> on March 11 that Evans was in a facility and that Evans was “still trying to find him the best [facility] to meet his needs.\u201d<\/p>\n
