Natalie Portman<\/a> is pregnant!<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old Oscar-winning actress has confirmed that she is expecting a baby with her partner, French music producer Tanguy Destable<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Natalie chatted with Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/a> to share the news and talk about her pregnancy journey with her third baby. She shares 14-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia with her ex-husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cTanguy and I are very excited. I\u2019m just very grateful. I know it\u2019s such a privilege and a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n

On feeling gratitude for being pregnant: \u201cI grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love who\u2019ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It\u2019s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it\u2019s also not an easy thing. And so I know how lucky it is. I\u2019m very aware, and I\u2019m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

On this likely being her last pregnancy: \u201cThere is a gratitude that when you\u2019re young, you don\u2019t necessarily grasp. And there\u2019s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it\u2019s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

On how she\u2019s feeling: \u201cI have more energy than I thought I might.\u201d<\/p>\n

On being pregnant in Paris: \u201cThere\u2019s been beautiful spring weather, \u201cso it\u2019s been pretty amazing to just walk in the incredible parks here and go see art. Just the usual things you do when you\u2019re not working! In France, they consider full-term to be 41 weeks rather than 40, so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around.\u201d<\/p>\n

On avoiding social media: \u201cI\u2019m not really looking at social media that much. I think maybe just having done it twice before\u2026 I read so many books the first time, and now I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, we know what to do.\u2019 It\u2019s okay. You figure it out. We\u2019re going to make lots of mistakes no matter how hard we try. And also, we\u2019re going to do a lot right without having to do research. I feel like if you\u2019re just present and loving, that\u2019s the best thing possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
