Sara Svensk’s Trek Speed Concept<\/p>\n
Sweden\u2019s Sara Svensk isn\u2019t new to long-course triathlon \u2014 posting wins as far back as a victory in Ironman Barcelona in 2019 \u2014 but a top-10 finish at last year\u2019s Ironman World Championship marks a continued ascension through the sport\u2019s ranks.<\/p>\n
Though typically known for her strong run (fourth fastest in Kona last year, 2:56:29), it\u2019s Svensk\u2019s bike leg that can truly impact the outcome of the race overall. Last year at Ironman Texas, Svensk was far behind out of the water (1:02:27), but motored her way through much of the field on the Ironman Texas bike course, ending up in fifth place overall.<\/p>\n

This year, Svensk has made a few notable changes to her bike setup in the hope of climbing onto the podium \u2014 including a new custom cockpit, an \u201cinsanely light\u201d set of wheels from Netherlands-based Scope, and rarely seen low-profile pedals from SRM that boast a notably low stack height.<\/p>\n
