Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Friday in Phoenix that Yesavage will make another rehab start on Tuesday with triple-A Buffalo and that Berr\u00edos will pitch again for single-A Dunedin on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Yesavage pitched for Buffalo on Wednesday, striking out five over 4.1 innings of three-run ball. He allowed two home runs and seven hits while tossing 71 pitches \u2014 42 for strikes.<\/p>\n
It was Yesavage’s third rehab outing of the season, with the previous two coming with Dunedin in early April.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old began the season on the injured list due to a shoulder impingement that popped up during spring training. <\/p>\n
He will aim to reach 75 pitches on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Berr\u00edos, who has been sidelined with a stress fracture in his elbow, began his rehab stint on Thursday with Dunedin, allowing five hits and five runs over 2.2 innings.<\/p>\n
The veteran right-hander threw 47 pitches and averaged 93.5 m.p.h. with his sinker.<\/p>\n
Schneider said Berr\u00edos will aim to throw 60 to 65 pitches on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
In addition to the two starting pitches, Schneider provided updates on a number of injured Blue Jays.<\/p>\n
George Springer has continued to hit in the batting cages after fracturing his big left toe, but has not started running yet.<\/p>\n
Addison Barger has been hitting, throwing and taking ground balls right at him. He is expected to begin running next week. Barger is on the IL with bilateral ankle discomfort.<\/p>\n
Yimi Garc\u00eda and Shane Bieber threw bullpens on Friday as they work towards game action.<\/p>\n
Garc\u00eda has been up to 95 m.p.h. in his bullpens so far and is aiming to face live hitters later next week.<\/p>\n
