Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> outfielder Daulton Varsho<\/a> exited Friday\u2019s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> in the third inning with left knee discomfort, the team announced.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: OF Daulton Varsho was removed from tonight’s game with left knee discomfort.<\/p>\n

Varsho was replaced defensively in centerfield by Myles Straw<\/a> in the bottom of the inning.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old had one at-bat in the game and was called out on strikes.<\/p>\n

Varsho has appeared in 19 games this season and has posted a .262 average with three homers and seven RBIs.<\/p>\n

The Wisconsin native is in his fourth season with the Blue Jays and has also appeared for the Diamondbacks over the course of his 667-game MLB career.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays have dealt with a long list of injuries in the early part of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

Outfielder George Springer<\/a> was placed on the 10-day IL last weekend with a fracture in his left big toe, joining outfielder Addison Barger<\/a> and catcher Alejandro Kirk<\/a> who are also out of the lineup with injuries.<\/p>\n

They are also missing pitchers Jos\u00e9 Berrios and Trey Yesavage<\/a> who are both on the 15 day IL, but are working their way back to the lineup on rehab stints in the minors.<\/p>\n

Shane Bieber<\/a>, Anthony Santander<\/a>, Cody Ponce and Anthony Santander<\/a> are all currently on the 60-day IL. <\/p>\n
