SANTA CLARA, Calif.\u00a0\u2013 Santa Clara women’s tennis blanked Gonzaga\u00a04-0 in the final regular season match of the season on Friday at the Degheri Tennis Center behind doubles and singles wins by Lizanne Boyer<\/a>, Daniella Dimitrova<\/a> and Juliette Krumholz<\/a>.\u00a0 Prior to the match,\u00a0five Broncos\u00a0– Boyer, Dimitrova, Tian Yu Dong<\/a>, Jamie Pope<\/a> and Anna Semler<\/a> – were recognized as part of the Senior Day ceremony.\u00a0\u00a0

\nHOW IT HAPPENED:<\/p>\n


\n\tSanta Clara (8-14, 4-5\u00a0WCC) was in complete control of the match from the get-go, sweeping the doubles point and the first three singles matches.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThe tandem\u00a0of\u00a0Boyer and Krumholz won their fourth straight match beating\u00a0Elizabeth Tindera and Diana Yanotovskaya 6-3 on court three.\u00a0\u00a0Dimitrova and Anna Rahman<\/a> claimed the doubles point\u00a0defeating Rose Hayes and Sveva Zerpelloni 6-2 on court two.
\n\tKrumholz\u00a0continued her strong play at singles No. 6\u00a0with a straight set victory past\u00a0Karla Brown 6-2, 6-1.\u00a0 It was the sophomore’s fourth consecutive win in singles also.
\n\tDimitrova pushed the lead out to 3-0 taking down Emily Robertson 6-0, 6-2 atop the lineup..\u00a0
\n\tOn court two,\u00a0Boyer was pushed in the first set before eventually winning the tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5) and blanked\u00a0Sveva Zerpelloni in the second set 6-0 to clinch the team victory.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tGonzaga dropped to 9-12 overall and 1-7 in league action.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
