The NASCAR<\/a> weekend at Kansas Speedway has barely gotten underway, and we have already had a very important session canceled.<\/p>\n

Practice and qualifying in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series<\/a> were set to take place today, Friday, April 17, but it has now been confirmed that it is off.<\/p>\n

In an official announcement, NASCAR wrote on X<\/a>: “UPDATE: Due to weather in the area, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice and qualifying have been cancelled. The lineup will be set per the rule book.”<\/p>\n

That means that Carson Kvapil will now start Saturday’s race (7pm ET, CW) from pole position in his No. 1 Chevrolet, with Cup star William Byron alongside him on the front row in the No. 88 Chevrolet.<\/p>\n
