Unlike on short tracks, each driver on the 37-car entry list is set to make one single-lap qualifying attempt, rather than a two-lap attempt, and unlike on superspeedways, there is only one round of qualifying to determine the full starting lineup; there is no 10-driver second round shootout for pole.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7f\">The qualifying order was determined by the metric that NASCAR introduced ahead of the 2025 season, factoring in both the <a href=\"https:\/\/beyondtheflag.com\/bristol-nascar-cup-series-results-full-point-standings-01knxb84em9m\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">point standings<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/beyondtheflag.com\/nascar-cup-series-bristol-full-food-city-500-race-results-01knxbb3b229\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">results of the most recent race<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7i\">This formula replaced the far more complicated metric that NASCAR had used from 2020 to 2024.
