{"id":614018,"date":"2026-04-19T07:36:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/614018\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T07:36:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:36:11","slug":"charity-cuts-ties-with-sharon-osbourne-after-she-backs-tommy-robinsons-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/614018\/","title":{"rendered":"Charity Cuts Ties with Sharon Osbourne After She Backs Tommy Robinson&#8217;s Rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The homelessness charity Centrepoint has cut ties with <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/sharon-osbourne\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Sharon Osbourne<\/a> as its ambassador after she indicated plans to attend an upcoming \u201cUnite the Kingdom\u201d rally organized by far-right activist Tommy Robinson.<\/p>\n<p>The anti-immigration rally is scheduled to take place at London\u2019s Trafalgar Square in May. Osbourne replied to Robinson\u2019s social media post promoting the event by writing, \u201cSee you at the march.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Centrepoint, a UK-based charity which provides support to the homeless, has since moved to distance itself from Osbourne, whom has served as an ambassador.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis sort of event does not align with our values,\u201d the organization said in a statement (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/politics\/2026\/apr\/17\/centrepoint-to-cut-ties-with-sharon-osbourne-after-she-backs-tommy-robinson-rally#:~:text=The%20homelessness%20charity%20Centrepoint%20has,from%20comments%20made%20by%20Osbourne.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the Guardian<\/a>). \u201cCentrepoint has a proud history of supporting young people whatever their background, ethnicity or religion.
