It\u2019s never a bad day to add Shohei Ohtani<\/a> to your MLB picks<\/a>, but I really like his chances today against Colorado Rockies<\/a> starter Michael Lorenzen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The right-hander is carrying a massive 8.10 ERA over five starts while allowing four dingers this season. The Rockies bullpen has also been susceptible to the long ball, allowing 11 homers \u2014 tied for ninth most in the majors.<\/p>\n

Ohtani has homered in two of his last six games, with all five of his home runs this season coming in his last 13 contests.<\/p>\n

Coors Field is the most home run-friendly park in the majors, and the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> slugger will put another ball in the bleachers today.<\/p>\n

Willy Adames (+420)<\/p>\n

The San Francisco Giants<\/a> are not a great home run-hitting team this year, ranking second last in the MLB with just 13 dingers.<\/p>\n

However, Willy Adames<\/a> has accounted for three of those home runs, including two in his last eight games, and I believe he\u2019ll go long vs. a bad Washington Nationals<\/a> pitching staff.<\/p>\n

Nats starter Miles Mikolas<\/a> has given up six homers in four appearances \u2014 one shy of the most by any pitcher this season \u2014 while carrying a bloated 11.49 ERA.<\/p>\n

Mikolas will be backed up by a weak pen that\u2019s been hammered for 22 dingers \u2013 tied for the most in the majors.<\/p>\n
