INDIANAPOLIS \u2013 To finish\u00a0the non-conference schedule of the regular season, the No. 14 UIndy men’s tennis team swept Purdue Northwest 4-0. The victory improves their regional record to 10-0, moving to 13-4 overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After domination on the doubles court, singles wins from Asier Ayllon Prado<\/a>, Tadeo Gaggiofatto<\/a>, and Jovan Matovic<\/a> was all it took to scratch across the finish line.\u00a0<\/p>\n

INS AND OUTS

\nUIndy got started with a bang in doubles by Arda Aroyo<\/a> and Nicolas Balzola, who posted a comfortable 6-1 win on court #3 over Daniel Sroka and Raphael Valente in their debut as a team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Backing them up was Asier Ayllon Prado<\/a> and Mathieu Derache<\/a>, as they took down Samuel Dickson and Dani Chicano Melero 6-3 at #1 doubles. Doubles was captured after Tadeo Gaggiofatto<\/a> and Zaid Shelbaya<\/a> defeated Joao Martins and Pedro Diaz 6-4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In singles, Jovan Matovic<\/a> came out of the gate strong, breezing past Martins 6-1, 6-4 on court #3. No. 16 Ayllon Prado followed suit, replicating that 6-1, 6-4 score on Dickson at #1 singles. No. 42 Gaggiofatto call game at #2 singles, overpowering Chicano Melero 6-2, 7-5 to secure the sweep.\u00a0<\/p>\n
