Matt Fitzpatrick bogeyed the par-4 18th to force a playoff with Scottie Scheffler at the RBC Heritage, then beat him with a brilliant birdie on the same hole.<\/p>\n
Fitzpatrick failed to get up and down for par at the end of regulation, bringing on sudden death with the world\u2019s No. 1. Fitzpatrick won the RBC in 2023 and Scheffler did so in \u201924. On the first extra hole, the Englishman laced his approach shot through the wind to 13 feet, from where he made the victorious putt.<\/p>\n
