\n\tJohnny Knoxville<\/a> is sending off the Jackass<\/a> franchise with a bang\u2026 and possibly a few 9-1-1 calls.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the final day of filming on Jackass: Best and Last<\/a>, the co-creator and star of the MTV reality stunt series and films claimed credit for a \u201cmonstrous explosion\u201d that took place in Simi Valley, causing alarm for some locals.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cApparently people thought a plane had crashed yesterday in Simi Valley,\u201d he wrote on Instagram, sharing a video<\/a> of a plume of smoke. \u201cLittle did they know it was from a monstrous explosion @jemfxpopov created for us for the final day ever of @jackass filming.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKnoxville added, \u201cWe were standing near the explosion and couldn\u2019t believe what we were seeing. Immediately after the entire cast went and hugged @jemfxpopov\u2019s neck. Thank you to Elia, his crew and the rest of our amazing crew yesterday to make sure we went out with a bang. 26 years and that\u2019s a wrap!! Coming to theater June 26th, Jackass: Best and Last.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-created by Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze and Knoxville, Jackass ran for three seasons on MTV from 2000 to 2001, sparking multiple movie spin-offs over the years, including Jackass: The Movie (2002), Jackass Number Two (2006), Jackass 3D (2010) and Jackass Forever (2022).<\/p>\n

\n\tKnoxville teased the fifth and final Jackass movie, debuting the trailer<\/a> for Jackass: Best and Last during Paramount\u2019s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
