{"id":616710,"date":"2026-04-20T14:55:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T14:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/616710\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T14:55:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T14:55:08","slug":"search-ends-for-calgary-woman-found-dead-in-saskatchewan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/616710\/","title":{"rendered":"Search ends for Calgary woman found dead in Saskatchewan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mounties say an <a href=\"https:\/\/calgary.citynews.ca\/2026\/04\/15\/were-terrified-for-her-family-of-missing-calgary-woman-continues-desperate-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">82-year-old Calgary woman reported missing in Saskatchewan<\/a> was found dead on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Diane Cooper was found by the RCMP in the RM of Grandview, near Kindersley, Sask, at around 7:40 p.m. on April 18.<\/p>\n<p>Her dog Halo, a dalmatian believed to be with her, was found safe.<\/p>\n<p>Officers add that her death isn\u2019t deemed suspicious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRCMP sends condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Cooper,\u201d a release reads. She was reported missing on April 7.<\/p>\n<p>The last reported sighting of her was shortly before 11 p.m. on April 6, when she was captured driving her vehicle through Hoosier, Sask.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper\u2019s granddaughter Zoe had been searching for her grandmother by following AirTags attached to her vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>She posted on social media on Sunday that \u201cthey have been found.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur grandma has unfortunately passed away. While this is not entirely unexpected, we are absolutely brokenhearted,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy some miracle, our dog Halo has survived.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so deeply grateful to everyone who helped search, shared posts, and showed us kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time.
