Surrey council to vote on childcares proposed for single-family homes<\/p>\n

Surrey council is set to vote on four childcare applications at its next regular council meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 27 at City Hall.<\/p>\n
Two will be subject to a public hearing while the other two are not, because the latter are consistent with the Official Community Plan and include a residential component.<\/p>\n
For those going to a public hearing, the first involves an existing single-family house at 8852 Lauder Drive with the applicant proposing to set up a standalone child care centre, to a maximum of 16 children, in the dwelling.<\/p>\n
The second involves a proposal to develop at three-storey commercial building at 6565 \u2013 152 Street with offices, a child care centre and a caretaker suite.<\/p>\n
The other two applications will directly be subject to a third-reading vote. The first of these applications not involving a public hearing is at 6206 Sundance Drive, where the applicant proposes to have a childcare operation with up to 25 children in a single family dwelling there.<\/p>\n
