She has better days and really bad days; she doesn\u2019t have great days. She\u2019s always dealing with something. It sucks,\u201d a source tells the Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cWith every setback, if we are being realistic, everyone has it in the back of their minds that they might not have a tomorrow with her.\u201d<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n But the Mail\u2019s<\/a> insider said that Applegate is buoyed by the support she has received from friends.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen she does look at things positively it makes her feel better in the moment because she has so many friends that are there for her, even to listen to her, cry with her and anything in between,\u201d they told the outlet.<\/p>\n The source also admitted that while Applegate is \u201cin rough shape,\u201d her friends \u201caren\u2019t thinking that this is the end.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNobody is planning to be at a funeral. Granted, her disease will take her sooner than anyone would like it to be, but everyone has trust in her medical team and her will to live,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n Your Midday Sun<\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n TMZ reported<\/a> last week that Applegate, 54, was admitted to the hospital in March.<\/p>\n Reached for comment, Applegate\u2019s rep told both USA Today<\/a> and Page Six<\/a> said they had \u201cno comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n On Monday, Applegate responded to rumours surrounding her health in her own Instagram post<\/a>, saying she was feeling \u201cbetter every day.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but I\u2019m a strong chick and I\u2019m getting stronger and better every day,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI\u2019m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I\u2019ll be back with more to say soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the Cleveland Clinic, MS affects the central nervous system and can cause muscle weakness, vision changes, numbness and memory issues.<\/p>\n \u2018I don\u2019t enjoy living\u2018<\/p>\n Applegate revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021.<\/p>\n Advertisement 4<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,\u201d Applegate wrote on social media at the time<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going.\u201d<\/p>\n Since going public, the Married \u2026 With Children alum has been open about her struggles living with MS.<\/p>\n In a 2024 episode of her MeSsy podcast, Applegate told co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler<\/a>, who also suffers from MS, that she doesn\u2019t \u201cenjoy living.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t enjoy it. I don\u2019t enjoy things anymore,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m trapped in this darkness right now that I haven\u2019t felt in probably 20-something years,\u201d she added. \u201cA real, f***-it-all depression \u2014 like, a real depression, where it\u2019s kind of scaring me too a little bit because it feels really fatalistic.\u201d<\/p>\n During an appearance on Dax Shepard\u2019s podcast\u00a0Armchair Expert earlier that same year, Applegate called her MS diagnosis \u201cthe worst thing that\u2019s ever happened to me in my entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n Last summer, Applegate said she had been admitted to hospital in \u201cso much pain.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement 5<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m staying here because I want answers. I want every test that you can possibly think of or ones that you haven\u2019t even thought of, and I want them done,\u201d she shared on her MeSsy podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n After \u201cscreaming\u201d from pain, doctors ordered an emergency CT scan, which revealed she had a kidney infection.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m holding in a bag o\u2019 tears right now,\u201d she said. \u201cI sometimes fall into the nurse\u2019s arms like a freako, just like crying.\u201d<\/p>\n In March, Applegate said her MS battle has sent her to the hospital repeatedly in recent years.<\/p>\n \u201cSince I was diagnosed, I\u2019ve been in the hospital upwards of 30 times,\u201d the Dead to Me actress said on an episode of MeSsy, per USA Today<\/a>. \u201cThat is unimaginable, OK?
