Officers recognized the vehicle as matching the description of the one believed to be involved in the March 4 shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/calgary\/calgary-police-extortion-charge-9.7152880\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">On April 3, police laid charges<\/a> against one man in relation to the investigation while investigators continued to look for additional suspects. Jaskaran Singh, 21, of Calgary, was charged with discharging a firearm with intent.<\/p>\n<p>His arrest was the second extortion-related arrest made by Calgary police. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/calgary\/calgary-extortion-charges-march-9.7150092\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Earlier that week<\/a>, Rana Cheema, 45, was charged with extortion and uttering threats, connected to what\u2019s believed to be a series of escalating incidents including threats and vandalism at two daycares outside Calgary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last week, investigators arrested a third man and issued warrants for a fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Karanbir Singh, 21, has been charged with one count of discharging a firearm with intent. He was remanded into custody and appeared in court Monday.<\/p>\n<p>And Germanjeet Singh, 22, is wanted on a warrant for discharging a firearm with intent.
