{"id":617693,"date":"2026-04-21T00:48:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T00:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/617693\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T00:48:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T00:48:08","slug":"free-earth-day-party-in-surrey-features-4-stages-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/617693\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Earth Day party in Surrey features 4 stages Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Free Earth Day party in Surrey features 4 stages Saturday<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 4:00 pm Monday, April 20, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free at Surrey Civic Plaza for B.C.\u2019s largest Earth Day celebration this Saturday, April 25.<\/p>\n<p>Surrey\u2019s 15th Party for the Planet festival features live music and dance, a popular plant sale, Sustainable Marketplace, food trucks, rock climbing wall, a \u201cblender bike\u201d for making smoothies, exhibitors of all kinds and other attractions, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the plaza outside Surrey City Hall (13450 104 Ave.).<\/p>\n<p>The plant sale has native shrubs, trees, perennials and ferns priced from $3 to $6, debit and credit only.<\/p>\n<p>Tomato plants (750 of them) will be given to Party-goers after a welcome speech by Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke at 2 p.m. \u2014 first-come, first-serve basis, limit one per person.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/partyfortheplanet.ca\/performers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Four stages of entertainment<\/a> offer something for everyone including West Coast Circus, Science World demo, Higher Ground Dance Battle, Rocky Step Lindy Hoppers, Ginalina Music, Don Alder, Haleluya Hailu, Matt Storm, Ranj Singh, Morning Glories, Ahsh\u00ef, Urban Safari Rescue Society exotic animals and more.<\/p>\n<p>Earth Day 2026 is on Wednesday, April 22.
