Manitoba will be opening a standalone menopause clinic in south Winnipeg through a $5.2 million investment.<\/p>\n

The province says the investment will be to establish the Manitoba Menopause Clinic, after the service was lost in 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re bringing this care back because Manitobans told us it matters,\u201d said Kinew. \u201cFor years, women were left without the specialized support they relied on. Today, that changes. We\u2019re restoring this clinic and building on it so more people can get the care they need, closer to home.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clinic will reportedly provide menopause and gynecological care, including minimally invasive procedures, along with counselling, education, and coordinated interdisciplinary support in one location.<\/p>\n

Additionally, obstetricians and gynecologists will deliver care, supported by a team that includes nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, and pharmacists. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe previous government shut down the Mature Women\u2019s Centre in 2017, and women across Manitoba felt that loss,\u201d said Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara.<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen were told to wait, travel, or simply cope without specialized support. That decision sent a message about whose health was being prioritized. By restoring specialized menopause care and offering free hormone replacement therapy, our government is making it clear that women\u2019s health matters and that Manitobans deserve better,\u201d said Asagwara.<\/p>\n
