{"id":618000,"date":"2026-04-21T03:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T03:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/618000\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T03:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T03:56:10","slug":"arrest-in-mississauga-hit-and-run-that-left-pedestrian-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/618000\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrest in Mississauga hit-and-run that left pedestrian dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police say an arrest has been made in connection with a fatal pedestrian-involved collision in Mississauga last week. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">At around 3:45 a.m. on April 15, police said they were called to the area of Derry Road and Hurontario Street for a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to police, a dark-coloured SUV travelling westbound on Derry Road hit the male pedestrian and then fled. A second vehicle came along and also struck the male, who was lying in the roadway.
