The injured were receiving medical attention, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The local government said four people were wounded by gunshots and that two more were injured from falls. Among those injured were Colombian, Russian and Canadian tourists, the local government said.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico\u2019s Security Cabinet wrote in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GabSeguridadMX\/status\/2046309241460289749?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">a statement on X<\/a> that a woman of Canadian nationality lost her life.<\/p>\n<p>Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Claudiashein\/status\/2046310500217040909\" rel=\"nofollow\">wrote on social media<\/a> that the shooting would be investigated and that she was in touch with the Canadian Embassy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened today in Teotihuac\u00e1n deeply pains us.
