The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> were down a forward as they completed a comeback win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 1 of their first-round series on Monday.<\/p>\n

Veteran Adam Henrique<\/a> left the game early in the first period after a collision with teammate Kasperi Kapanen.<\/p>\n

Henrique appeared to clutch his knee before heading down the tunnel.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old ultimately logged just 2:56 of ice time before being forced to exit.<\/p>\n

Edmonton didn’t provide an update on his status during the game, but head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters after the game that they “will find out tomorrow exactly how long that injury is.”<\/p>\n

“It’s gonna be a big hole. We’ll miss (him). He’s been so good on our special teams. Obviously, we’re going to need other guys to step up if we are to lose him.”<\/p>\n

It is expected that Josh Samanski would fill Henrique’s spot for Game 2.<\/p>\n

Henrique played in 65 games for Edmonton this season, scoring three goals and collecting 15 in just over 13 minutes of action per contest.<\/p>\n

Monday’s game marked just the fifth time in Henrique’s 16-year NHL career that he has skated in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n

Henrique was a consistent presence in Edmonton’s lineup during its runs to the Cup Final in 2024 and 2025.
