And it\u2019s stacked with some very big names, including race favourite Derek Gee (Israel Premier Tech) of Osgoode, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a runs Aug. 23\u2013Sept. 14, starting in Turin and passing through France and Andorra before entering Spain. The 21-stage, 3,150-km route features iconic climbs like L\u2019Angliru and Bola del Mundo. Plus a 20-km team time trial and a stage-18 individual time trial. Canada\u2019s Derek Gee (Israel\u2013Premier Tech) is among the GC favourites, facing rivals like Richard Carapaz, Felix Gall, Thomas Pidcock, and Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard.<\/p>\n<p>Vingegaard is the number one favourite. It would be great for the Dane to take a big win after another roller-coaster year. Granted, he did finish second at the Tour de France \u2014 behind a seemingly unbeatable Tadej Poga\u010dar \u2014 but Vingegaard is a winner and is used to being on the top of the podium. The parcours certainly suits him \u2014 and his strong Visma\u2013Lease a Bike squad should fare well in the team time trial, as well as being there to support him.<\/p>\n<p>Israel\u2013Premier Tech has not announced its full squad, but so far, it looks like there\u2019s plenty of firepower to support Gee. Nadav Raisberg, Marco Frigo, Matthew Riccitello, and Ethan Vernon are confirmed so far.<\/p>\n<p>Poga\u010dar is \u2014 thankfully, most likely, for everyone else \u2014 not racing. Why? Well, it\u2019s been a helluva season, but a long one. Instead, he will retool and focus on the road worlds in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Part of that prep includes two races over here. He will be trying to win both of the races at <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/sections\/news\/the-vueltas-loss-of-pogacar-is-canadas-gain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Les Grands Prix Cyclistes Montr\u00e9al et Qu\u00e9bec.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To watch the 2025 Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a, you can tune into <a href=\"https:\/\/flosports.sjv.io\/c\/6129470\/2005798\/24751?utm_campaign=generalaffiliate&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.flobikes.com%2Fsignup\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Flobikes.com<\/a>.
