{"id":619324,"date":"2026-04-21T18:10:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T18:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/619324\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T18:10:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T18:10:11","slug":"police-charge-1-suspect-seek-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/619324\/","title":{"rendered":"police charge 1 suspect, seek another"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 19-year-old man from Ottawa is facing charges after a fire broke out at a business in Mississauga and police are searching for an additional suspect believed to be responsible for multiple other incidents targeting the same business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The initial incident happened in the early morning hours of March 16 at an unoccupied business near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/arrest-made-additional-suspect-sought-in-mississauga-arson-investigation-pr260090381\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/arrest-made-additional-suspect-sought-in-mississauga-arson-investigation-pr260090381\/\">Peel Regional Police said<\/a> there were no reported injuries and the suspects fled before officers arrived. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Since that incident, police said that business has been targeted by two other arson attempts. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Last Friday, police arrested Kevin Paredes and charged him with various offences, including arson and break and enter.
