Man, 36, charged with internet luring of a child, Vancouver police say<\/p>\n

A 36-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an investigation by the Vancouver Police Department\u2019s internet child exploitation unit.<\/p>\n
Geordie Roxburgh was charged on March 25 with internet luring of a person under the age of 16, possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material and unlawful firearm possession, Vancouver police said in a news release Tuesday (April 21).<\/p>\n
The charges follow an investigation that began more than two years ago on April 6, 2024 when Vancouver police received a report that she discovered her teenage daughter was communicating with an adult man via text messages. Police say the mother also learned the man had allegedly requested intimate photos from her daughter in exchange for money.<\/p>\n
Roxburgh was arrested Dec. 14, 2024 by detectives from the internet child exploitation unit. Police seized multiple electronic devices and firearms.<\/p>\n
