\"David Filmmaker David Dhawan<\/a> has addressed the long-standing perception around working with Salman Khan, calling him an \u201cexcellent guy\u201d and highlighting their strong professional equation. In a recent chat, Dhawan also weighed in on comparisons with Govinda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018He has never questioned me\u2019<\/p>\n

Reacting to claims that Salman<\/a> can be difficult to work with, David told Bollywood Hungama, \u201cEverybody goes through this. Earlier too, people used to say a lot about Salman… even now they do. But he\u2019s an excellent guy. I have worked with him the maximum… I\u2019ve had the best journey with him.\u201dSpeaking about their equation, he added, \u201cHe and I\u2014we are fire together. We love to work.\u201dRecalling a recent interaction, David said, \u201cI was shooting and he came to meet me and said, \u2018Yaar, let\u2019s do something right now.\u2019 He\u2019s always like that.\u201dHighlighting Salman\u2019s trust, the filmmaker said, \u201cHe has never questioned me… he never even asks for a narration. He just says, \u2018Let\u2019s do this film.\u2019\u201dHe added, \u201cI\u2019ve done films with him where he is the hero, but another role may be better\u2014and he never questioned it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018If Salman works with you, he\u2019ll do anything\u2019<\/p>\n

Sharing an anecdote, David said, \u201cMy son once told me, \u2018If Salman works with you, he\u2019ll do anything for you.\u2019 That\u2019s true. Even after a film is finished, he will say, \u2018Yaar, I didn\u2019t get much in this… let\u2019s do something.\u2019\u201dHe further added, \u201cI can call him anytime and start shooting. He\u2019s always there.\u201d <\/p>\n

Salman vs Govinda<\/p>\n

Weighing in on comparisons, David said, \u201cActors are different. Salman has a personality\u2014you can\u2019t match that. Even when he walks into a frame, there\u2019s a charm.\u201dOn Govinda, he added, \u201cHe\u2019s a very fine actor. Give him any scene\u2014even a weak one\u2014and he will turn it into something special. That\u2019s his calibre.\u201d<\/p>\n

On punctuality debate<\/p>\n

Addressing criticism, David said, \u201cPeople say that, but he always finishes his work. So what if he comes late?\u201dHe added, \u201cWhen I needed him early, he came early.
