Two more of Stephen Colbert<\/a>\u2019s late night compatriots are offering a messages of support amidst CBS\u2019 shock cancellation of The Late Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jimmy Fallon<\/a> took to Instagram Friday morning to share his candid thoughts on the end of his fellow 11:35 host\u2019s show.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just as shocked as everyone,\u201d Fallon wrote in a text-only Instagram story. \u201cStephen is one of the sharpest, funniest hosts to ever do it. I really thought I\u2019d ride this out with him for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n Fallon, who started on The Tonight Show<\/a> a year and a half before Colbert took over the reins of The Late Show<\/a>, has gone up against Colbert in the time slot for most of his run.<\/p>\n The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a> has regularly bested The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the ratings in recent years.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sad that my family and friends will need a new show to watch every night at 11:30,\u201d Fallon added.<\/p>\n \u201cBut honestly, he\u2019s really been a gentleman and a true friend over the years \u2014 going back to The Colbert Report, and I\u2019m sure whatever he does next will be just as brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n Jimmy Fallon via Instagram<\/p>\n Seth Meyers<\/a>, a fellow late-night host and Strike Force Five member, also weighed in on Instagram. \u201cFor as a great a comedian and host he is, [Colbert] is an even better person,\u201d Meyers wrote in an Instagram story. \u201cI\u2019m going to miss having him on TV every night but I\u2019m excited he can no longer use the excuse that he\u2019s \u2018too busy to hang out\u2019 with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Seth Meyers via Instagram<\/p>\n As we\u2019ve reported, Jimmy Kimmel offered his own words of support for Colbert last night, taking aim<\/a> at CBS in the process.<\/p>\n \u201cLove you Stephen.
