(UNLVRebels.com) \u2013\u00a0A pair of individual even-par\u00a0rounds placed the UNLV women’s golf team just one shot off the lead after Tuesday’s opening round of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club (Par 72, 6,286 yards).<\/p>\n
REBEL ROUNDUP:\u00a0Helping the Rebels (+4) end the day in a tie for third were junior Zi Yu Foong<\/a>, who went bogey-free on the back nine, and freshman Lana Yamagata<\/a> with their\u00a0even-par 72 efforts. The duo sits in a tie for sixth in the individual standings.<\/p>\n The Scarlet & Gray lineup also saw three others jump into the top 20, including sophomore Amber Chen<\/a> (+1) in a tie for 12th, as well as Jane Huang<\/a> (+3) and freshman Demi Du<\/a> (+3) in a tie for 20th.<\/p>\n DAY-ONE LEADERBOARD:\u00a0San Jose State and Colorado State share the lead at 3-over through 18 holes.
